Mixing business & pleasure

We’ve had a little time off this last month, I say time off, there was a little pleasure mixed in with the business of New York City!  We were over there talking shop with a couple of music peeps who are interested in developing some imagery fort heir labels.

It was great to catch up with one of Forbidden Fruit’s DJ’s, Darzh Liebek; it was super exciting to hear his new mixes and his new track he’s developing - watch this space for the release date as it’s certainly going to be epic, as ever!

Having returned to the office after a trip to NYC we are happy to announce that the new White Dot Freeride website is now live and ready for you all to enjoy.  Check out their Facebook page as there are some images from the London Metro Show that took place in October, you’ll see from the photos why they claimed the title of ‘Most chilled out stand’ at the end of the week; skis, clothing, leather sofa and beer fridge, what more do you need from a display stand!!

Way Beyond : The Yorkshire Three Peaks Charity Run

We would just like the congratulate the Way Beyond crew for their efforts on the charity run that took place on Saturday 12th September.

27.5 miles was run in 4 hours 45 minutes up the three largest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales; Pen-y-Ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside to raise money and awareness for Diabetes UK and The AVM & Aneurysm Foundation.

In total they raised just over £550.00 for the two charities, both of whom were very welcoming of the funds, especially The AVM Foundation which is a lesser known cause.

Have a read of the days goings on at the Way Beyond page: www.gowaybeyond.com

Running for Diabetes UK

Would you believe it, one of our very own will be running the Yorkshire Three Peaks in aid of Diabetes UK and The Aneurysm and AVM Foundation, all 25 miles of it!

Adam will run the three peaks on Saturday 12th September 2009 at 10am and should see him finish in approximately 6 hours (all going well!).

This came about as a means of celebrating his ‘one-year-as-a-diabetic’ anniversary and to raise awareness of the disease and that of the brain condition know as an AVM, Arteriovenous Malformation.

Any support or sponsorship you might like to offer would be hugely appreciated and well received, please check out either:

THE NIKE APPRENTICE

After a long haul or submitting videos, promos, attending interviews and shmoozing the good folks at Nike, we’re proud to tell you that our good friend and videographer Rich ‘Forne’ Wilson has been awarded the Nike Apprentice 2009!

Now he gets to travel the globe for Nike and film all kinds of treats for their new Nike 6.0 range and document the transition of this area of their brand into the BMX and ‘extreme’ sports scene.  With a major DVD section to film for Nike, Rich has certainly been thrown in at the deep end though typically he’ll take it all in his stride and arise triumphantly at the end of it no doubt!

Well done Rich. x
